How to get to Guimaras
Guimaras can be reached by plane, boat or bus (via
Ro-Ro).
Via Philippines Airline, Cebu Pacific, and Air
Philippines from Manila, 9 times daily from
Iloilo City. There is also a daily
boat trip from Cebu and 21 daily trips by
fastcraft from Bacolod to Iloilo City.
The Guimaras mainland is close to the Iloilo
Harbour and reachable in 15 minutes by motorboat
or ferryboat that service the island from 6am
to 6pm daily. Travel time is from 5
minutes to 5 hours depending on how you wish to
wonder around. For special
arrangement, motorboats or pumpboats can be
utilized to directly hop to Cabaling Beach
Resort and also to visit other different islets.
Motorboat picks up passengers from Ortz wharf,
Iloilo City and at the docks of the Jordan Wharf
in Guimaras, on the other hand, there is also a
ferryboat, which will bring you to Jordan Wharf
available at Muelle Loney Street in front of the
customhouse. Meanwhile there
is a pumpboat terminal in Parola going to
Buenavista Wharf.
For those who want to bring along their private
vechicle, there is a roll-on-roll-off (Ro-Ro)
service which will take you to Jordan.
The Ro-Ro picks up passengers at Lapuz La Paz.
It has tour trips to Guimaras from 7:30 am to
4:00 pm and another tour trip from Guimaras to
Iloilo from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. It
will take about 30 minutes to get there via
Ro-Ro. Fare is Php 20.00 per person.
There is also a Ro-Ro travelling from Negros to
Guimaras and vice-versa. The
Ro-Ro operates from Pulupundan to Guimaras
starting from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm while it starts
bringing passengers from Guimaras to Pulupundan
from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. |
